Concept of God

This topic talks more about people and their belief or concept of God. I am not elaborating on this, will only share my opinion or observations.

  • We perform lot of festivals, prayers, Pooja’s etc,… Has God asked for it? Significance of every worship? Meaning of every Mantra? Not sure how many really knows all these….
  • From young age why parents teach kids on fear of god than devotion? Could never understand this logic?
  • Why is aarthi performed? Why is Agarbathi lit? Can anyone explain with right logic, don’t think so..
  • What do people believe most? Is it the existence of evil, good over evil, Black Magic or superstition, or popular business following a Swamy with multiple Sri prefixed and ending with Ananda? Not sure…
  • Why do we visit temple when we know God is everywhere? For this someone gave a logical reason stating, why is air blown in to tyres of a vehicle when it is available everywhere? Is this logical?
  • While driving people tend to bow or pray when they come across temple on the way or when they pass by the same, even when they have a small idol inside vehicle, which God do they believe in most? Can anyone explain?
  • Is it only few people who have felt God or all of us would have?
  • Are there any Godly man or a Guru?
  • Tendency on earth is more like seeing is believing and experiencing is more closer to heart...May be this could be the reason that one tends to fear for evil.... Fearlessness means, complete surrender to God, have faith he will take care.
  • We would have experienced during our difficult times that we receive help from our friend or our relatives and we thank them....but don't you feel that we need to thank the Almighty for sending them...how many of us do so?
Let me give a break for my thoughts....will resume once I observe more or when something else strikes my mind...

Places to Visit

It has been close to 4 years that I thought of writing something on my blog and was wondering what to write... Do I need to continue with my adventure diary or anything new or again my favorite subject travel.... Finally I decided to write on travel, but in a different way, not elaborating on the route or weather and road condition, it was this time I decided to specify or emphasize more on places one should or should not visit. Here you will get to see those places which could be a wildlife, historical or a pilgrim etc,...Yes, some inputs from my experience as well.

Let me start with the very recent and continue with other places which I have to copy paste from my word doc to this :-).

1. Place: River Woods Homestay --> Close to Bale Honnur near a place called Magundi... approx 50km from Chikkamagalur...

Accommodation: Decent, not value for money

Food: Veg was pathetic, non-veg was manageable

Service: Decent

Nearby Places: Nothing at all within 10km radius, however beyond this you will find places to visit like Sringeri, Hornadu etc,..

And for wildlife lovers: Head back to Chikkamagalur and deviate towards either towards Bhadra or Muthodi.

Trekkers: Merthy Peak, reach an estate by vehicle and head towards the peak.

Closest fuel station : Bhale Honnur.

Advice: Keep this place as last or as a least option.....It would be wonderful if you have good company.

2. Stream of Joy: Homestay near to Dharmasthala and Southadka.

Accommodation: Very ordinary.

Food: Decent, little Hygiene.

Service: Decent.

Nearby Places: Dharmasthala, another ancient temple, Southadka.

Trekkers and Wildlife Lovers: Nothing great for you.

3. Jungle Lodges and Resorts Karnataka: Old Magazine House, Rivertern, Kabini, Bannerghatta and many more....

Accommodation: Very nice.

Food : Decent

Service: Very Good

Near by places: Depends on the resort you book, one thing in common is for sure, that is Jungle Safari...

Trekkers: You might enjoy places nearby depending on the resort, but you would not get time to trek if you are on a day's visit or rather one night stay.

Wildlife Lovers : Most of Jungle Lodges will have season mentioned for bird watching or wildlife.

Poems Poems Poems...........

A beautiful day rising bidding bye to the dark,
It is now time for cock not for dogs to bark.
Birds are out again with melody,
Making me to wake and get ready.

Amidst our daily routine we make,
Ignoring dawn has slept and dusk awake.
Here comes the Signal from Thunder,
Asking us to leave early or Surrender.

An evening is not a big deal to be Spent
Being together lot to be meant,
Life is not straight, it is little bent
Ensuring to go smooth is like not to dent

Monsoon Monsoon Monsoon,Monsoon around the Corner
temperature to reduce and settle sooner....
Irrespective of reduction in temperature
Need to visit office daily and enjoy its culture...

One thing common in monsoon we see is umbrella,
Does not bother about races or religion...
Yet it says come under me to take shelter from rain,
I will protect you no matter the region...

I said please rain can you come in the evening after I reach home,
Rain says no i cant as it is my time to come down...
Drizzle a while in the evening, so that I can make it soon,
Says, Depends on my mood and will decide in the noon...

Adventure Diary...

1st Sunrise of 2010 at KanyaKumari

1. Journey through Satyamangalam : 29th Dec 2009

• Experience the fog on the way to Kerala

Starting from Bangalore at 5.00AM and only having Destination in mind was making us feel superb. As we started covering miles, we started to feel more and more beautiful because of the Mother Nature. Riding through the chillness on Mysore road and taking a bypass towards Chamarajnagar was too good. It was even more wonderful when we took a break to have our breakfast at around 10.00AM (as usual bread and jam, companion to travellers)on a plain road which was like no-man's land and thankfully no monkeys being around to snatch our food. Half an hour break and geared up again to hit the road.We felt really blessed as soon as we reached Satyamangalam after our breakfast. The feeling was getting more cuddled and was getting nurtured by Mother Nature. More the visibility was getting diminished more was the fun, the feel of freshness and chirping of birds (though unable to c) and more, all were gifted to us by the naughty fog.

• Ghats section – hairpin bend

Satyamangalam ghat has 27 hairpin bends. One can get the real feel of biking here when getting descend, capturing photos, seeing large trucks getting stuck, some cool jeeps just ripping the stuff. And what else can be better than the struggle to ride bike amidst the thick fog. And gradually get to view the superb nature the more you descend and more you escape from naughty fog.
